Investigation launched following assault on woman in Kilkenny in broad daylight

Gardaí in Kilkenny city are investigating an alleged assault in the city last Tuesday.

A woman alleges she was punched in the face and kicked in the ribs by another woman on Poyntz Lane off High Street.

The incident happened between 1 and 2 pm in the afternoon on Tuesday, October 4th.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Poyntz Lane at the time of the incident and might have information to contact Kilkenny Garda Station.
