A young South East secondary school student has started his own business during the pandemic.

14-year-old Andrew Hennessey from Gorey is making and dispatching Face Mask Holders to homes around to country and abroad.

The personalised holders are made from wood by Andrew and his father.

Speaking to Beat News, Wexford woodwork student Andrew explains where his idea came from.

"I came up with this idea - at the start of lockdown when I didn't know what way school was going to go - so I said why not have something to keep myself occupied in between school and online classes.

"People are always throwing away their masks, leaving them lying around somewhere, where they're going to forget them going out to a shop or when they need them.

"So I said, why not make this product to incorporate their masks when needed."
