Beat's 'On The Run' has been shortlisted for two national radio awards.
The shortlist for IMRO 2022 has been released this morning, and Beat's promotion is shortlisted in the 'Digital & Social Innovation' category and in the 'On-air promotions' category.
'On The Run' got the entire South East talking when presenters Niall Power from Beat Breakfast and Darren Rice from Beat Drive went on the run across the South East earlier this year.
In the three days that followed, Niall & Darren traveled around the South East donning disguises, leaving behind a trail of cryptic clues and calling cards for followers and Beat presenters to crack.
Listeners were immediately gripped by this promotion and tried their best to track the elusive duo down but to no avail until the clues honed in on the presenters’ final location, Kilkenny City.
The promotion ended with Ciara from Carlow finding the two lads, and bagging herself the €2,000 bounty that was put on Niall and Darren's heads by the Beat Boss.
